Fellowship With Us
While learning about God's Word and His plan for our lives is paramount, it is also important to learn about each other and share the joys and concerns of our Christian lives. Fellowship, therefore, plays a vital role in the life of our church. Below are some of the opportunities for fellowship at Trinity:
Fellowship Time is our weekly gathering in Gearing Hall immediately after Sunday morning worship. Everyone is encouraged to stop in for coffee, lemonade and a light snack as we get to know each other better during this informal social hour.
"Trinity Together" fellowship meals are on special Communion Sundays in Gearing Hall following morning worship. Trinity members and visitors gather for a special time of church family fellowship as we go from sharing in the Lord’s Supper during worship to sharing a meal together. There is no cost, but participants are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to complement our main course. Those who have become church members within the past month are given special recognition.
Presbyterian Women's Circle meets each month for fellowship and Bible study. More information about this group can be found in the Adult Ministry section of our website.
The Spring Church Picnic is one of the Trinity family's favorite yearly fellowship events, heldin the spring at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Ferndale. Trinity members and friends of all ages gather for games, hiking, fishing, wildflower walks, and a cookout on the beautiful Ferncliff grounds.
Rally Day is our fall kick-off celebration, held on a Sunday in late August or early September. The Trinity family gathers after worship for lunch, fellowship, and games and activities that last throughout the afternoon. Last year we enjoyed a catered barbecue lunch, and the children of the church had great fun playing on giant inflatable "moonwalks" set up in the parking lot.
Senior Social is an exciting program for Trinity’s members and visitors of retirement age. Once a month we meet for a wonderful lunch followed by a program of special interest. All senior Trinity members and their guests are encouraged to come for the food, fellowship, and fun on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. in Gearing Fellowship Hall.
Our annual Chili Cook-Off is held early in the year to coincide with the return of our Honduras Mission Team. Trinity members and visitors gather at the church on a Sunday evening for a mission trip report and friendly competition in the Cook-Off. Titles are awarded for Best Chili, Most Original Chili, and Hottest Chili. Even if you don’t enter the competition, you won't want to miss the fellowship, good food, and lots of fun. Childcare is provided.
Trinity's annual Fall Fling is our last outdoor gathering of the year, typically held at a Trinity member family's farm in late October or early November. We gather for a cookout and marshmallow roast, bonfires, a hayride, games and fun for all ages.
